So I Don’t Have My Boots…Now What?!
    Steppers Guide | C.Mygril | 08/18/2009

Fellow steppers, Have you ever been in a situation where you get that eagerness, and feel prompted or even challenged to step in a random environment — with no music, no costume, and especially, no BOOTS?? If your answer is yes, then you probably have had to step in the kicks you wore out the house that morning. Now, if you step like we do…that moment happens ALL the time. But NOBODY wants to wear Timbalands all day everyday, or look like they’re getting deployed to boot camp on a daily basis. SOLUTION: Rock kicks that are step-appropriate!

Every good stepper knows that in order to crush an entire impromptu performance, you need good support. First, look for shoes that have good ankle support, like a high-top sneaker. Next, don’t forget about good heel soles. You ever start that train off — and in that first stomp, a shock goes up your leg?? To prevent this, buy shoes with padding or comfort technology. And if that’s not enough, add insoles of your own (i.e. Dr. Sholls, or the insoles of another shoe you own). Remember protecting and preserving your feet is the 2nd priority in stepping - right after breaking the stage.
