Several posts back, I made reference to the ONLY Kappa performance I’ve ever seen where the cane WAS NOT dropped — I repeat, WAS NOT DROPPED.  Well…I guess somebody knew EXACTLY what show I was talking about (which is funny, cuz I didn’t say when and where the show was)!!!! Last week in the iStep email, I received a youtube link for the Grambling State University Fall 2004 Kappa Show - “Nupe High”. I mean somebody must’ve contracted Indiana Jones and Mutt Williams to track down this relic.

Now, when I first saw this show, I was in the hometown of R-1000, New Orleans (Waaaaaaaaah Wuzhammm), at the Bayou Classic. I can honestly say that these guys deserve to be immortalized in Cane/ Step history. They had a really good show, no fumbles….and they even stepped (which rarely happens in Kappa shows)! If it had been up to me, I would have named them the winners, but the Alphas took 1st by judges’ decision. Nevertheless, enjoy this RARITY — because like the Celtics - Lakers Series, you may only see one in your lifetime. “May it sparkle like a diamond.” (shout out to Dr. Gregory Battle)

What do you think of the show? Have you ever seen a Kappa performance with no dropsies?
